My
name is Grace Parrott and I manage Parrott Ranch here in Lakeside, California.
We have over 5 acres and this is a home to chickens, cats, horses, birds, and (of
course) our precious Bernese Mountain Dogs and Pembroke Welsh Corgis. WE are
inspected by the American Kennel Club and have passed with flying colors!
Just had our inspection this month and passed with flying colors. We understand
that California is being hit with a new breeding license for breeders. This is
AB 702 which is totally new and for us that are of retirement age we may not
continue if this sort of bill goes into effect. This shall certainly affect
those that are just hobby breeders that try very hard to be professional.
We love all of our animals and believe that they return the love that we give to
them. Our puppies are born here at the ranch and are raised with plenty of
socialization. In addition to our friends and family, all of our puppies become
friends with an assortment of experiences that they get before they go home. We
allow our new owners to visit during that eight week period. Masks are something
the puppies and adults have a hard time with. We are sticking by the rules and
wearing them but the dogs act like we are wearing muzzles and want to know who
we are biting. (cartoon below)We are hobby breeders, so may not have a litter of puppies available when you
are looking for a puppy. We ensure that we do not over-breed our dogs.
We have had to make appointments by the half hour in order
to let everyone come to visit their babies after they have
placed their deposits.
